Sell or Keep

We have a property where we get too much traffic (people walking by, suspicous stuff), and now that school is opening up (literally right across the street), we're getting anxious. Usually the school has tons of kids run across our yard everyday with no care. I know this seems very trivial but should we sell if we're constantly wondering what will happen everyday. Last year we had kids smoking in our backyard multiple times and cops all over our yard.Reply by Marc St.James
@[cmrw694680016r00lptv4iz8g](Mose Gebremeskel) That doesn't sound trivial to me. If it's stressing you out all the time, that's something to take seriously.
Before selling, I'd probably ask myself if there's anything that could improve the situation first like better fencing, lighting or landscaping. But if you've tried those things and it's still making you dread owning the property, I don't think there's anything wrong with deciding it's not the right fit anymore.

A school across the street is definitely something that may dissuade some renters, especially if it is a big school.Reply by Josh Winders
@[cmrw694680016r00lptv4iz8g](Mose Gebremeskel) so sorry this is happening to you, and I hope a solution presents itself soon. Best of luck!Reply by Daniel M.
I agree with everyone here that it’s worth looking at a few options before making a decision. From the property management side, I’ve seen how much small changes like better lighting, fencing or clearer property boundaries can impact how residents feel about a property.
That being said, if the situation is causing constant stress and you don’t feel comfortable owning the property anymore, that’s important to consider too. A property can look good on paper, but peace of mind matters a lot more.
