Hi all! I've recently acquired a new property to rent out as student housing. Does anybody have any tips as to how to screen college-aged prospective tenants? I want to be sure that I only entertain good applicants.

Hi Connie!! In keeping with the Innago Insight connection, this is a helpful article as a starting point: https://innago.com/a-quick-guide-for-leasing-to-college-students/. I would also recommend checking out this article: https://rentprep.com/blog/tenant-screening-news/renting-college-students/

Hey Connie!
It's pretty common to require a co-signer or guarantor and screen them since student renters won't have long credit histories, previous rental history, etc. Here's an article on the difference, if you're interested!
