Pros of LTR vs STR Thoughts?

I just acquired a new property in a tourist-y area that I want to start renting out, but I'm torn between making it a short or long-term rental. I feel like I could make more revenue with an STR, but an LTR would probably be less maintenance/cleaning/booking/headaches. Any thoughts? Does anyone have experience in both?
