I also use Home Depot for "stuff", because it is close to me. I also get good ideas while I'm there but be careful to not overspend (same with Target!!!). But if you have time make sure to check Amazon prices, and they deliver stuff directly to the property (huge bonus). Lowes is great as well, just not as close to my house, prices are pretty much the same honestly.Reply by Alexa Abbott
I tend to find more of what I'm looking for at Home Depot. Lowes is often out of what I need or doesn't carry it at all, and I've found them to sometimes be pricier. Home Depot usually has more options, too!Reply by Amanda T.

I haven't noticed a huge price difference between the two but I definitely agree with Josh about checking Amazon first for some of the smaller stuff!Reply by Daniel M.

For larger jobs we usually go through our vendors, but for smaller repairs and supplies, Home Depot is usually my first stop.Reply by Grace Hart
My husband and I always tend to go to Lowe's. I am unsure as to why it started that way but now I know my way around lowe's a lot better so I find myself always going there. However, for those saying that Lowe's seems to be out of stock of items frequently, I always check their app and see what is available at my local store so I don't waste my time running there if they are out of stock.If I do only need a few things or something quickly, we have a store close to us called Valu here in WNY. I am unsure if those are in other places as well? It is more of a mom and pop feel but a little bigger than just a local store.
