Hi there! My name is Savannah. I'm currently an Elementary School teacher in Gilford, NH and I worked in the real estate world for about 5 years as a real estate agent. My husband and I have saved up a little bit of money and were thinking of taking the leap to invest in our first fixer upper/home flip job... I've seen friends/other people in the industry successfully do it, but it does require a lot more and it feels like the timing is never right.
We don't have children yet, so I think this is the prime opportunity to do something like this. Hoping I can gain some experience from others in this forum and maybe even find someone who is local to our area.

Hi Savannah,Not a flipper, but I think moving into real estate investing at this point is a great idea. Your experience as an agent will surely transfer, even though you'll have a lot to learn still. Since neither of you have done it before, I recommend leaning into your friends/other people in the industry you know who have done it successfully. Find out the mistakes they made when first starting out and what they learned. Good luck networking!

Thank you so much for the reply! Yes, there is so much to learn... I know that this site is still super new but it's really nice to have a platform to connect with other people. I wonder if there will be the capability to upload videos or share business information eventually?Reply by Josh Winders
@[cmrz88fbl0004rq0gc1syqbsv](Savannah Wilder)if you have the means you should get into real estate 100%...you have some background and have thought it through. My wife and I did it with ZERO experience and not really thinking it through HAHA....we are doing just fine, and its exciting!Have fun with it, enjoy the roller coaster ride!
