Hi all, I'm curious about your thoughts on and experiences with using in-person advertising (like posters) for your rentals. Have you had success? Does it tend to pull in more or less reliable tenants? I'm thinking about putting up posters for one of my rentals, but I've heard mixed reviews and I don't want to walk a few blocks for nothing. Located in the Cinci area.

Not really. I'd stay away from signage. Most serious and qualified renters are searching online first.

Why do you think so?

If I feel that online listings aren’t getting enough traction I’ll sometimes put up posters.

I would mostly stay away from signage. Online advertising and listing is better. There are exceptions, of course, but for the most part, online is the way to go. Get creative, too: List on FB marketplace, create your own webiste, etc.
