I know I can just google this, but I want this community's insight and advice. We may be putting out property up for rent in a few months and we haven't ever listed before; all tenants have been referred to us.What are the platforms that work best for you, and the ones that don't? Would love to hear great experiences and the horror stories.
Looking forward to reading everyone's responses.

Are you looking for a long term / short term / mid term renter? For long term, we've pretty exclusively used Zillow. I've tried other listing sites, but so many of our renters were coming from Zillow that I stopped using other sites. We have on occasion also asked existing tenants for referrals and offered a rental discount. We've had a little bit of success going that route. We recently have also used furnished finder for mid-term renters and have had some good success there too.Reply by Josh Winders
OK...I didn't know there were "levels" of renters. All of this is VERY helpful, thank you @[cms7sfryh0025wr0k7fvv9e53](Emma Smith)Reply by Daniel M.
@[cmrz827dq0009uq0jmjr9euk1](Josh Winders) Yeah the type of rental makes a pretty big difference. For long term rentals, we’ve had good luck with Zillow as well but I’d also make sure the listing is posted in a few places so you’re not relying on one source.
Since this is your first time listing I’d pay just as much attention to the quality of inquiries as the number of people reaching out. Getting 50 messages isn't much help if 45 aren't serious applicants.
